    Processing Details:
Description: Detection of point mutation (G to T mutation in exon 12 resulting in the V to F amino acid change at position 617) of the human JAK2 gene. This mutation is associated with myeloproliferative disorders.

The Calreticulin Exon 9 Assay can be ordered as a reflex to a negative JAK2 V617F Mutation Detection. If ordered as a reflex, do not order the individual assay.

Only ONE (1) tube needs to be drawn for any combination of the following tests: Calreticulin Exon 9 Assay, Factor V Leiden Mutation, Factor 2 Mutation, JAK2 V617F Mutation Detection and Hereditary Hemochromatosis.
Method:Multiplex, Allele-Specific PCR (AS-PCR) analyzed by capillary electrophoresis
